The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session for their June 2010 meeting with all trustees and fiscal officer answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag and noting that there was no audience attending, the meeting moved onto the reports.
Reports - The trustees reviewed the bank reconciliation, purchase orders and blanket certificates along with the fund balances. It was noted that there had been many funerals this year that increased the cemetery fund. The fund would now support the balance of the contract for mowing for the year. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
Road Supervisor - Mike reported that we were finally mowing the roads. The mower had been down for repairs and new blades. Boards for the trailer had been ordered and the fiscal officer had just received the tags. A different hitch would be needed for the truck to pull the trailer. It was discussed that bikers groups had been out to spray paint the roads for their bike runs. The Trustees were opposed to the paintings that would interfere with any of the utility call before you dig markings. They agreed to contact the county prosecutor for an opinion. Different roads were discussed as to needing saw cut, then repaired. Mike would continue to grade and call for dust control as each road was finished.
New Business - Motion made by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept the bills and minutes as presented. After more discussion as to the road conditions and the work being done, motion to adjourn by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed
